Christ came to Set the Captives Free!!!!!

King Jesus was anointed with the Spirit of the Lord to preach deliverance to the captives and to set at liberty them that are bruised!!!

Whilst King Jesus was on the earth, He promised His faithful followers, who believe in Him that we will perform GREATER works than even He has done as shown by the following scripture:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” John 14:18

Every time the Lion of Judah cast out demons, healed someone, or raised the dead, He was destroying the works of the devil. In healing those who were oppressed by the devil, Jesus was “undoing” or destroying the works of the devil. In essence, Lion of Judah was “reversing the curse of sin” that was introduced into the human race by Adam and Eve’s sin in the Garden of Eden.

During His earthly ministry, King Jesus cast devils out of people in order to set them free from the destructive influence of Satan in their lives. King Jesus came to destroy the works of Satan and to reconcile all humanity back to God the Father. According to the following scripture, King Jesus came primarily to destroy the works of Satan.

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” I John 3:8

 Whilst Christ was on the earth, He defeated Satan, pulled down his strongholds and set the captives free!!! Jesus` ministry did not cease when He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven to sit down at the right hand of God.

Before His Ascension, Christ commanded us to perform His will by giving us the The Great Commission which is Five Fold as follows:

“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark. 16:15-18

 The number five in the Bible symbolises grace which is a connotation of the Greek word, charis, which means “giftings.” It is no accident that The Great Commission consists of five tenets, all of which delineate supernatural acts whereby believers are called and commissioned to perform through the power of the Holy Spirit and under the authority Jesus relegated to the Church prior to His ascension into Heaven. The five tenets of the Great Commission indicates that the believer has been empowered and commissioned by the Spirit to perform by grace and faith the supernatural giftings of God.

Before Christ ascended to His Father, He relegated His anointing and ministry unto His faithful ministers to carry on His ministry on the earth until He returns to the earth in His Second Coming. Christ gave His Name and all the authority and power that is vested in His Name, which is above every other name, to all believers to use in His stead to perform the same works of power He Himself performed while He was here on the earth — all the miracles recorded in the Gospels.

Christ even declares that true believers could and would perform not only the works that He performed, but EVEN GREATER works of power:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” John. 14:12

The deliverance aspect of LOJM aligns exactly with the Great Commission as given in Mark 16:15-18, and it entails in setting the captives free from the bondages of Satan. The Bible mentions demons seventy times. If you believe in the Bible, then you must also believe in the reality of demons in the world. The King James Version(KJV) of the Bible uses the word “devils” instead of “demons.” However, the meaning is the same.

Children’s Bread

“The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children`s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.”Mark 7:26-27

In the above scripture, the Greek, Gentile woman who was a stranger to the commonwealth of Israel, and she was an alien to the Covenant of Promise. Although this woman had no rights to the blessings of the Covenant of Promise she still besought Christ in faith to cast the devil out of her daughter. Christ told the woman that the children of the Kingdom always have FIRST PREFERENCE to partake of the spiritual abundance which is found at the table of our Lord; for it is our feast and we have earned the right to partake of these spiritual blessings. People who are not of the spiritual body of Christ are like dogs, because they CANNOT understand the spiritual blessings of the kingdom nor have they earned the right to partake of them!!!

Our bodies were made to be temples of the Holy Spirit but whenever there is a demonic presence or stronghold indwelling in them; they are made filthy and unclean. If you are a believer of Christ and have accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour then deliverance from every demonic oppression, and stronghold is yours freely!!!! It is part of your inheritance, and deliverance is not an option, but a requisite—for ALL believers! Christ died so that you may be free from ALL bondages!!!

Demonic oppression and strongholds are spiritual bondages and if you refuse to be set free or to acknowledge that you need it then you are just rejecting the freedom and richness of the Covenant of Promise!!! There are two kinds of people in this world: those who need deliverance, and those who are lying and too proud to admit that they need it, because they are ashamed or are frightened at what others might think of them! If you are a Child of God, Jesus said, Deliverance is for YOU, because Christ called said deliverance the “Children`s Bread!”
